It's been a labor of LOVE!

 Good morning crafty friends!

I thought I would share the project I have been working on for the past several weeks! My son and his beautiful girlfriend are getting married this May and I wanted to make their wedding invitations for them. And, knowing what an important part of the planning the invitations are, I was honored that Sylvia agreed to let me make them. And she hasn't even seen them yet!! Crazy, right? A bride that gave up complete control of this very important decision!

She wanted navy, blush and gold. And she knew she wanted a watercolor look. And I said ok!!

Had I ever made invitations before? NOPE! But, my good friend Mary had made some beautiful ones! So she and I began creating a sample. And it was gorgeous!!

So, the invitations have beautifully watercolored flower borders. And the outside has sapphire embossed flowers with a blush and gold layered scallop border. 

Then they are finished with a pretty pink satin ribbon.

I am so proud of the way they turned out! I know she is going to love them!

Snuggles are THE best!!

Good afternoon scrappy friends!!

My grandkids having been providing me so much scrappy inspiration! This little guy is my newest grandson, Koby! He is a chunky bundle of love!

This year my goal is to get more pictures on my pages! So you may see more page kits based on my everyday life!! But, that's a good thing right? Because we share so many life events!! 

This layout is so crisp and easy!! I had to add a little splatter ... white space and I are learning to love each other more!! But, I jut wanted a little something!

Where do YOU find your Inspiration?

Good morning!
First and foremost I need to thank God for this beautiful sunshiny morning!! WOW!! I love when I can wake up in January (or any day!) to a bright sky and sunshine..even if it will be short lived! I feel energized!!

Now .. on to my question? When you are crafting, do you ever find yourself in a creative rut? Or suffer from lack of inspiration? I know I do!! And that is where I have been stuck since the Christmas holidays!

Well, on Thursday, January 10, over on the CTMH blog, Make it from the Heart, they shared the topic "5 Ways to Get Out of a Creative Rut and Get Inspired"! (check it out here) Yay! The timing was perfect!!

So, I read and then went to work! I started by tidying up my craft space! That was a chore in itself!! And then I went to my happy place...my photos!! Why? Because that is where all my favorite people, places and things are kept for quick reference! It's where I can go to unlock my memories! And there it was...a perfect, fun-filled afternoon that I had spent with my granddaughter McKenzie!

So..when you are stuck...don't stay in that place! There is inspiration all around you! Tap into a happy place and get started!!

Puppy LOVE

Do you have fur babies? I have two noisy Morkie boys, Sheldon and Cooper! Yep! You guessed it! Named after the infamous Sheldon Cooper of The Big Bang Theory! And funny as it is, our Sheldon is so appropriately named as he possess all the quirky personality traits of Sheldon on Big Bang! He is anti-social, has a very strict routine.. and even has his favorite spot!! But I LOVE him dearly!!

            They love to travel with us! They get so excited when they see us packing our bags!
But they LOVE being in the studio with me! They have snacks and a bed that sits right next to my desk! They are my every day crafting partners!

Close to My Heart knows we LOVE our Fur Babies too! So, here is the latest stamp set created to help us celebrate all our PUPPY LOVE!!

An "I LOVE YOU!" kinda day!

Good morning friends!! 

Today my husband and I celebrate our anniversary!! I just love him so much!! He takes such good care of me!! And I shall share some LOVE with him when I give him one of these adorable cards!!

My Heart is HAPPY!

Good morning scrappy friends!!

WOW! It has been a long time since I have been here! And it's hard to follow someone that is so inconsistent right? Well, lets see if I can improve that!! After all, it's a NEW YEAR and I have some new goals for myself!!
