My new best friend...

I love to photograph moments in the lives of my loved ones. I can sit for hours, with my camera in hand, watching my family, waiting for a special moment and then "click". I take so many pictures that my kids call me "gramma flash"! I wear the title proudly because there are thousands of photos that have captured each of their lives. And once the moment has been captured on film it's time to document the event in a scrapbook! Here is a page that I created following the birth of my second granddaughter, Violet. Her big sister, Zoe, immediately referred to her as her "best friend"!

This is one of my favorite pages! It really captured the love that Zoe has for her baby sister, and the joy she felt having her "favorite" Aunt Meg visit!  I love the colors on this page. The purple, green and brown work beautifully together. The simple scallop borders, and scored lines add just enough detail.

The BF tag that I added was the perfect finish.

"God made them family. Love made them friends!"

Wow..I have been so busy since my last post! The February workshop was another great success. I found a great project, compliments of splitcoaststampers.com, to share with everyone! We made adorable folded paper purses! I filled mine with Hershey Kisses and gave them as Valentines!

The supplies needed were minimal, a 12x12 piece of printed medium weight paper, a 7 inch piece of coordinating ribbon, a 4 inch scallop circle (I used my Cricut), Velcro and embellishments of your choice.

The purses were such a hit that one of our crafters is using the purses for invitations and another is busy making them to use for shower favors! And I have to say simple, simple, simple!!!!

Imagine the Possibilities

Welcome to my new adventure! I wanted to create a venue where I could share inspiration and creativity with my family and friends! Although my blog title, Bonnie's Empty Nest, might indicate that something is missing in my life, I can assure you that it was simply an opportunity for the next chapter! So, for my first post, I wanted to share a simple card that says it all.. Imagine the Possibilities!
